We fix quite a few ipads for schools and have some thoughts on why if you re buying in bulk you should purchase an ipad that has as apple calls it a non laminated screen instead of a laminated ipad screen.

So laminated screens can be a little help in these situations. The reason is simple. That was enough for me to take back and upgrade to a laminated screen. I can t use any other device when reading because of that.

The laminate display imo is a big deal but there isn t really any choice unless you find a cheap used 1st gen ipad pro. Current cheap ipad has 2nd gen as well i believe the 6th gen ipad 2018 does as well.
