Installing Flat Speaker Wire Under Carpet

I currently use cambridge audio ultra 100 which is far too big a cable for going under the carpet. Fish tape is a tool that is often used for routing wires. I am also curious about running speaker wire under carpet. I have a 7 1 surround setup currently from my onkyo tx nr3009 and need to source some decent flat cable to position under the new carpet.
